How Much Will It Cost Me?
Insurance companies pay their attorneys hundreds of dollars an hour. But most average auto accident victims simply can’t afford to pay an attorney by the hour.
While you can hire Dan to work on your case on an hourly basis (his hourly rate for personal injury cases is $250/hour), the majority of people choose a “contingent fee” arrangement instead.
What does this mean? Well, instead of paying an hourly rate up front regardless of the outcome, you agree that you will pay a percentage of any recovery made in the case. If, for some reason, there is no recovery, there is no fee.
Note that “fee” refers to the charge for the time spent on the case. Every case also has “expenses” that are not included in the fee and are not contingent on recovery (i.e., court costs, medical records, photocopies, etc.).
At your initial consultation, which is free and entails no obligation, Dan will go over the fee agreement in detail with you and answer any questions you might have.
