DENVER – Cañon City attorney Dan Slater received the prestigious "Young Lawyer of the Year" award from the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association ("CTLA") here at a dinner last night. Citing his commitment to protecting consumers and his work fighting on behalf of his clients, the CTLA presented Slater with the award at their annual Spring Dinner.
The presentation of the award to Slater was the first instance in the history of the CTLA that the award had gone to a rural attorney. Slater said he was surprised by the award, but proud to accept it. "The CTLA has a long history of fighting for those without any other voice against powerful interests. I am proud -- and a bit humbled -- to be receiving this award. I will continue to fight for my clients against powerful interests lined up against them, and I shall continue to try to deserve this award."
Dan Slater owns his own law office in Cañon City, with a focus on civil litigation (including personal injuries and civil disputes), real estate law, employment law, and small business law.
